THIELLS, N.Y. – Stephen Pilla, a resident of Thiells, died Tuesday, July 19. He was 55.
He was born to Dolores and the late Pasquale Pilla in the Bronx.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, before settling down and starting a family. He was an incredible athlete and would participate in the annual Wheelchair Games, horseback riding, bowling and ping-pong.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen; his daughter Tina Pilla; two brothers Robert and Richard; and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Church services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Living Hope Fellowship in Tompkins Cove, 326 Liberty Drive North (Route 9W North).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hudson Valley Wheelchair Crusaders, 104 Crescent Drive, Thiells, NY, 10984 or to the Castle Point campus of the Veterans Affairs Office.
